“One day I come home and go to check the mail. To my surprise, I have a letter from the D.A. saying I am being charged with felony possession of a controlled substance stemming from an accidental overdose 16 months ago. To top it off, it stated that I had to appear in court two days later!
After that much time had elapsed, I figured nothing would come of it but to my surprise, the letter came. Now, having never been given more than a speeding ticket, to say I was totally freaked out would be an understatement. After the initial shock settled down, I knew I had to seek legal counsel immediately, so I started researching law firms. I narrowed it down to a few that had good reviews on the Internet. Now mind you, this was in the evening, so I immediately started making calls to a few firms that looked reputable. Luckily for me, I called the law firm of Wallin & Klarich. Having called so late and leaving messages for a few firms so late at night, I wasn’t expecting a call back until the next day. To my surprise, I got a call back almost immediately from Paul Wallin about 20 minutes after I left the voicemail (very, very professional).
I told him my story and he went over some of the laws and possible scenarios that I would be looking at. He let me know because of the location and the fact that his son is in that particular courthouse everyday so Matt Wallin would be handling my case. With my court date only two days away, I was in their office the next morning.
I spoke with another one of their knowledgable attorneys, Stephen Klarich, because as he is everyday, Matt was in court that day. He thoroughly explained the process, possible outcomes and put me more at ease and reassured me I was in good hands with Matt, not only because of his vast knowledge, but because he’s basically in that particular courthouse everyday and has a great rapport with the D.A. and the other power players there.
So the day after that, I met Matt at the courthouse, he looked over the police report and told me he was pretty confident he could get my case dismissed. He said he couldn’t guarantee a dismissal, but was fairly confident he could. Again I appreciated the honesty, and was starting to feel better about the whole thing.
So I spoke with Matt a couple times over the phone before my next court appearance and he let me know he initially said he couldn’t guarantee a dismissal but after a few conversations with the D.A., the case was going to get dismissed. To say I was elated would not even be close to explain how I felt. So at the next court appearance, just as Matt had said, CASE DISMISSED! I cannot stress to you how relieved and happy I was that I chose Matt and his law firm to handle my case. Professional from the beginning to the end. So if you are ever in trouble with the law, or need a lawyer, please do not hesitate to call Wallin & Klarich. They are a top notch law firm and you will not be disappointed.”

“Words can’t even describe my gratitude. A burden has been on my shoulders for a long time and that burden is finally released. Thank you for all of your work, time and patience! I was referred to Wallin & Klarich by a fellow colleague of mine after being charged with possession. After telling Mr. Wallin about my charges, my personal life and what I wanted to achieve, he worked diligently to get the best possible outcome. Mr. Wallin was completely aware that I did not want a felony on my record. That I wanted one more chance before one naive choice I made had the potential to ruin my career. Besides dealing with the court, Mr. Wallin had to deal with thousands of my neurotic questions and comments. Within a day, he always responded and made me feel at ease of the situation. In the beginning, he made it very clear that he will do his best and take care of the work, which is why I felt so insecure…he made my court process so easy. Finally, the results arrived and my case was dismissed. Thank you Mr. Wallin for representing me, listening and taking care of my situation! Your work is truly remarkable.”

“I truly feel the need to express my gratitude to and my appreciation for Mr. Matt Wallin regarding his expertise, ability and effort on my behalf. Although the doctor had grossly over prescribed me, I was arrested and charged for California Vehicle Code 23152(a) – DUI Drugs – three times in the same year. Lawyer Matt Wallin was able to work out a sentence with NO JAIL TIME. This is just amazing. Wallin & Klarich, and in particular lawyer Matt Wallin, will always have my sincerest gratitude. I will also not hesitate to recommend your legal firm to others.”
-D.C.
“I know I already gave you almost excessive appreciation on the phone, but I just wanted to drill it into your head that you have given me and my parents great, great relief with your superior work. After failing to complete the mandatory terms of my probation, I knew I faced the real possibility that the probation violation judge would sentence me to the maximum. This would have landed me in county jail for one year. I would have lost my job and my reputation but for your extraordinary advocacy on my behalf. Attorney Matt Wallin, you have exceeded even my best hopes for my case. I will be keeping your business card around just in case anybody else I know needs a good lawyer like you.”
-T.L.
“Matthew Wallin was always accessible throughout the entire process by both phone and email. If I had questions or concerns about anything, Matthew provided an answer in a timely fashion. Matthew was able to negotiate my case with the most favorable outcome for myself and for the career I am pursing. Matthew’s professionalism throughout this entire ordeal made me feel that I was in the best hands for this unfortunate circumstance. I would highly recommend Matthew to anyone dealing with a criminal matter that could influence their entire future. I truly feel blessed to have had Matthew as my attorney.”

“I’m not sure how you did it but the great thing is that you did! This outcome is nothing short of miraculous to those of us who have been praying for our daughter for such a long time. To have NO conviction on her record when this is over is more meaningful than I think she even knows. But I can tell you that, as a Career Coach, a single misdemeanor (now reportable in this new era of unrest) can be the deciding factor in an employers offer for work. She is one blessed woman to have had you as an attorney. Thank you so much for all you’ve done. We will continue praying her through this and hope she has learned from this experience.”

“Attorney Matt Wallin stood up for me and by my side through the entire DUI process. His legal representation through the judicial system got my license back, when the police had not conducted the chemical test of my blood (BAC) properly. Without Attorney Matt Wallin, I would not have known that my rights had been violated by the arresting officer. If you need a DUI defense attorney, contact Matt Wallin. He is personable, friendly and has great relationships throughout the Orange County court system.”

“After extensive negotiations with the prosecutor, Attorney Matt Wallin was able to get the grand theft and petty theft charges against me DISMISSED. I was very relieved and grateful I did not have to report to custody or complete any shoplifter education courses. In addition, attorney Matt Wallin was able to avoid any admission to guilt so I will not be deported and there will be no negative immigration and naturalization consequences. Thank you attorney Matt Wallin, from the bottom of my heart.”

“Having never been to court before, when I received a letter from the D.A. indicating that I had been charged with a violation of 653k PC Switch-Blade Knife (possession of a switch-blade knife), I turned to friends looking for recommendations and was referred to Wallin & Klarich. Even though I first contacted them late in the evening, they immediately got back to me and explained the situation that I found myself in. After doing my research and checking out other law firms, I hired Wallin & Klarich because they appeared to be my best option. I was not disappointed. The lawyer assigned to my case, Attorney Matt Wallin, is incredibly experienced. he answered all my questions, and got my case dismissed. If in the future I require the services of an attorney, I will go back to Wallin & Klarich and Attorney Matt Wallin. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family who find themselves in need of an attorney.”

“I was arrested and charged with felony grand theft and embezzlement. I was caught stealing over $3,000 in cash from my employer. I was referred to Attorney Matt Wallin of Wallin & Klarich. After meeting with him, my family and I understood the charges against me, the potential consequences, and our approach moving forward to minimize the consequences of my conduct. Attorney Matt Wallin aggressively advocated on my behalf in court with the judge and prosecutors.
First, Attorney Matt Wallin was able to negotiate a REDUCTION OF CHARGES from two felony charges down to one misdemeanor charge. Then Attorney Matt Wallin met with the judge and worked out a deal where I would complete community service and ALL CHARGES AGAINST ME WOULD BE DROPPED AND DISMISSED. This allowed me to stay out of jail and avoid any felony or misdemeanor criminal conviction on my record. Thank you Attorney Matt Wallin for protecting my rights, my freedom, and my future.”
-N.E.
“Attorney Matt Wallin, a simple thank you can’t possibly express how much I appreciated your hard work, professionalism and unwavering dedication to my case. I was accused of felony drug possession and driving while on a suspended license. I knew the district attorney was pushing for a three-year state prison sentence because of the seriousness of the offenses and my prior criminal record. You first explained to me my rights and protections under the constitution, particularly the Fourth Amendment and how these rights applied to my case. The motion to suppress evidence you drafted was powerful and well-written. The judge and district attorney must have agreed because BOTH CHARGES WERE DISMISSED. Words cannot express the appreciation and relief I felt being able to walk freely out of the courthouse with my mom and kids. This is all thanks to Attorney Matt Wallin’s dedication and understanding of the law. I would highly recommend the legal services of Attorney Matt Wallin to anyone who wants an attorney there every step of the way, fighting to protect their rights and freedom.”

“I was charged with petty theft for allegedly stealing merchandise from a major department store. Words cannot describe the level of anxiety that came over me when I was contacted by Loss Prevention and then the police, who arrested me. My mind was racing about the devastating impact a theft conviction (a crime of “moral turpitude” – dishonesty) would be on my life, reputation and career. Even though shoplifting is generally a misdemeanor, I understood that it can be treated more harshly than many felony offenses.
After meeting with and hiring Attorney Matthew B. Wallin of Wallin & Klarich, my mind was put at ease. Everything was explained to me in terms I could understand and he made himself available to me by email or telephone at anytime. Attorney Matthew B. Wallin’s knowledge of the law, court and criminal justice system was apparent from the start. His tremendous relationships with the district attorney and judge allowed for such a remarkable result. Without me ever having to be present in court, Attorney Matthew B. Wallin negotiated a deal where, upon completion of a simple six-hour theft class, the charges against me would be DISMISSED and I would have no criminal record. Attorney Matthew B. Wallin and his firm Wallin & Klarich stand out with true integrity and compassion.”
-K.N.
“My son was charged with a drug crime and faced substantial jail time. Attorney Matt Wallin represented my son in court and during extensive negotiations with the prosecutors and judge. Attorney Matt Wallin calmly and realistically presented the legal options and consequences of the case. I was extremely pleased by his professionalism, knowledge and availability throughout the criminal court process. Because of Attorney Matt Wallin’s dynamic personality and outstanding relations with the court, he saved my son from going to jail. He was able to convince the prosecutor that my son was worthy of drug treatment and rehabilitation in lieu of any jail time. Even more remarkable, the criminal case against my son will be dropped and DISMISSED, never appearing on my son’s record. Attorney Matt Wallin resolved the case with my son beyond our expectations. I have no hesitations in highly recommending his office and services.”
-K.H.
“My son was charged with two felonies, (1) felony weapon charge (possession of an assault weapon) and (2) felony drug charge (possession for sale). Based on the severity of the charges and my son’s extensive criminal record, it appeared an extended state prison sentence was inevitable. My son was facing up to six years in state prison. I learned that the Southern California criminal defense firm of Wallin & Klarich is known for outstanding representation of clients charged with serious felonies. Attorney Matt Wallin was highly recommended to me and I hired him to defend my son. He went above and beyond his duties as my attorney. Without exaggeration, Attorney Matt Wallin made himself available to me and my son 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The prosecutor, with support from the Weapons, Narcotics, and Anti-Gang Unit, aggressively pursued the charges against my son. Attorney Matt Wallin immediately jumped into action and developed a strategy for defending my son on both charges. He conducted extensive research on assault weapons, consulted with weapon and drug experts, and thoroughly investigated each and every legal avenue in our defense. After a tremendous amount of work and diligent representation, Attorney Matt Wallin did the impossible for my son. Not only did he keep my son out of prison, he aggressively negotiated a DISMISSAL of all charges. The felony assault weapon charge was dismissed outright, before the preliminary hearing. Just as remarkable, the felony drug charge will be dismissed when my son completes drug treatment under Proposition 36.
The relief and weight lifted off our shoulders was overwhelming. We have Attorney Matt Wallin to thank for this. His professionalism, knowledge of the law, and attention to detail makes him an outstanding attorney. I would highly recommend Matt Wallin as a criminal defense attorney to anyone who needs personal attention, diligent representation and remarkable results.”

“After causing an accident, I was charged with a DUI. In addition, at the time of the accident I had a very high blood-alcohol content well above the legal limit and faced a sentence enhancement because of that. To make matters worse, I failed to provide insurance and was charged with an additional offense. I was looking at serving more than six months in county jail. This would have been devastating to my career, my family and my reputation.
Thankfully, I found the criminal defense firm of Wallin and Klarich and was able to meet with and hire Attorney Matt Wallin. Attorney Matt Wallin took control of the case and advocated on my behalf, without me having to ever step foot inside the courthouse. Attorney Matt Wallin’s familiarity and reputation with my court and his relationship with the prosecutor and judge allowed for a very favorable outcome. I was only sentenced to informal probation (no probation office) and not a single day of jail time. I am very satisfied with the service and final disposition of the case. I would highly recommend meeting with and hiring attorney Matt Wallin of Wallin & Klarich for any drinking and driving related criminal offense. It will make the difference between jail and freedom.”

“I didn’t know where to turn to when I realized that I might be arrested because I had several warrants for my arrest for not having paid traffic tickets for many years. I found out my drivers license was suspended due to these traffic warrants. The bail amounts on these warrants were several thousand dollars. I was fortunate enough to retain the services of Attorney Matthew B. Wallin of Wallin & Klarich, a highly qualified criminal defense firm. Matthew B. Wallin jumped into action immediately. Within 48 hours of retaining his services, he was in court on my behalf. He was able to have all of the warrants recalled on the first court hearing. He was also able to keep me out of jail. My fines were dropped to a low fee and I was even able to make payments on the fines. I was immediately able to get my drivers license reinstated. I was amazed at how quickly Matthew B. Wallin was able to resolve a problem for me that I thought would lead to jail time and massive fines. I would highly recommend Matthew B. Wallin and the firm of Wallin and Klarich to anyone who has warrants out for their arrest.”

“I was recently charged with drunk driving with a very high blood-alcohol level. In my time of need, I hired Lawyer Matthew Wallin. He handled my case with great dedication and professionalism. He guided me through the process step by step and really relieved me of my extreme anxiety surrounding the case and the potential punishment. Lawyer Matthew Wallin was proactive with the prosecutor and judge to make sure the court understood the type of person and mother I am. After all of Matthew Wallin’s hard work, he was able to negotiate a dismissal of the DUI charges California Vehicle Code 23152(a) and Vehicle Code 23152(b). I plead no contest to a wet-reckless. Thanks to Lawyer Matthew Wallin and the outcome he negotiated, I was not fired from my job because the wet-reckless did not result in a license suspension from the DMV. I am extremely grateful for Matthew Wallin and his compassion and representation. I would highly recommend Matthew anyone who feels that they deserve another chance.”

“Criminal Defense Attorney Matthew Wallin is simply the best! I know I made the right decision by choosing him. His wisdom and knowledge, his high professional attitude and hard work really made my case result different. This gives me a totally different life in the future. My words can’t even describe my gratitude to him.
I was charged with grand theft (Penal Code 487) and burglary (Penal Code 459). The theft amount was as high as $2,500. Moreover, my conduct was observed by a loss prevention officer. Attorney Matthew Wallin managed to get my case dismissed, which is unbelievable! I interviewed four other well-reviewed attorneys. After seeing all of the attorneys, I decided to go with Matt Wallin. From the very beginning he kept his word and did everything possible on my behalf to avoid a conviction.
Attorney Matthew Wallin is also a very organized person. In his mind, he has each little piece of information I provided so I didn’t need to repeat anything. First, he really works hard for you. Second, he is very experienced and knowledgeable. He’ll make a very wise argument for your case. That’s not like the other attorneys. He’ll do all the analysis and work for you. He also wouldn’t waste any of your time and any of your money. He knows where the strongest argument should be and explains each step of the process. Among all the criminal defense lawyers I met, Matthew Wallin is the best one. By choosing him, I made the wise decision! That office has been so successful, which is the best evidence.”
